The Hardys noticed that Wyatt's love of horses and other animals was really having a positive effect on his well-being. Research in animal-assisted therapy is still relatively new, but the Wyatt Foundation is devoted to aiding mentally and physically impaired children with the help of animals. In limited studies, animal-assisted therapy works because those who are impaired may feel alone or unable to communicate with others because of their condition.
